Broken garage door springs can cause you headaches. The first thing we can tell you is BE CAREFUL! We also do not recommend trying to open the door with your automatic motor. You risk burning the motor up with a broken spring. We also recommend being very careful if you attempt to lift it manually. If there are two springs you now have the entire weight of the door on one spring that is probably about to break due to too much pressure.
